The appointment reflects BIG’s strong confidence in Ms. Orla’s leadership capabilities, professional expertise, and extensive management experience. With more than 30 years of experience in business, she has played a key role in driving corporate strategy, business development, and strengthening organizational resilience, contributing to BIG’s continued growth and competitiveness.

In her role as Managing Director, Ms. Orla will lead BIG’s business direction in advancing the company’s position as a technology‑driven leader in industrial gases and low‑carbon solutions, driven by technology, innovation, and sustainability. BIG and the Industrial Estate Authority of Thailand (IEAT) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on the “Study and Development of Technology and Innovation for Industrial Estate Infrastructure.” The collaboration aims to jointly promote and develop the future of Thailand’s industrial sector toward sustainable and environmentally friendly growth. The signing ceremony took place on 4 November 2025 at the IEAT Headquarters, with Mr. Sumet Tangprasert, Governor of the Industrial Estate Authority of Thailand (IEAT), and Mr. Ramani Velu, Managing Director of BIG, serving as the signatories.

Mr. Sumet Tangprasert, Governor of IEAT, stated that IEAT, as a government agency, is committed to enhancing industrial estate management through the adoption of technology and innovation. The focus is on supporting infrastructure, utilities, and facilities that utilize low‑carbon and environmentally friendly technologies. This collaboration aligns with the Ministry of Industry’s policy and serves as a key mechanism to reduce environmental impacts from industrial operations, steering the country toward its goals of Carbon Neutrality and Net Zero Greenhouse Gas Emissions.

Under this partnership, IEAT and BIG will jointly explore the feasibility of implementing the project in selected high‑potential pilot industrial estates. BIG will introduce innovation and technology to develop industrial gas infrastructure in these areas, with plans to expand to other suitable industrial estates in accordance with the framework established in the MOU.

“IEAT will continue to drive the Thai industrial sector toward a new, environmentally friendly industrial economy—Green Transition to New Economy. We will collaborate with all sectors, both public and private, to develop sustainable and eco‑friendly industrial estates and help propel Thailand toward a low‑carbon economy,” said Mr. Sumet.

Under this MOU, IEAT will provide data support, participate in feasibility studies, and consider preparing suitable facilities for infrastructure development within industrial estates to help ensure the success of the pilot project. Meanwhile, BIG will focus on developing low‑carbon and environmentally friendly industrial gas infrastructure to enhance the capabilities of Thailand’s industrial sector and support the transition toward a sustainable new industrial economy.

The event aimed to introduce the Hydrogen Thailand Association and invite interested organizations to officially join as members. It also featured the introduction of the association’s executive team, which includes a representative from BIG, along with academic seminars on hydrogen energy and a tour of the hydrogen combustion laboratory for electricity generation.

BIG, Thailand’s leading innovative industrial gases solution and carbon reduction technologies, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Bangchak Corporation Public Company Limited to jointly study and develop technologies for carbon dioxide (CO₂) utilization from Bangchak’s Phra Khanong refinery.

This collaboration aims to explore opportunities to apply and utilize CO₂ captured through Bangchak’s carbon capture process, with the goal of reducing greenhouse gas emissions and supporting both organizations’ and the nation’s targets for Carbon Neutrality and Net Zero emissions.

Under the MOU, the two parties will work together on the following key areas:

• Exploring CO₂ Utilization Opportunities: Studying and applying technologies to efficiently utilize CO₂ from identified sources.
• Feasibility Study and Pilot Testing: Conducting feasibility assessments and pilot testing using CO₂ captured from Bangchak’s carbon capture pilot project.
• Direct Flue Gas Utilization: Evaluating the potential to directly utilize flue gas from Bangchak’s Phra Khanong refinery to enhance carbon capture and utilization efficiency.

BIG, Thailand’s leading innovation in low-carbon industrial solutions, welcomed over 50 participants from the Climate Action Leaders Forum Batch 4 (CAL Forum 4), comprising executives from both public and private sectors who play key roles in advancing Thailand’s greenhouse gas reduction goals.

The delegation visited two of BIG’s industrial gas production facilities: the low-carbon hydrogen facilities and the air separation unit that utilizes cold energy from liquefied natural gas (LNG) in its production process. This technology significantly reduces energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions in the industrial sector. The visit took place at the Map Ta Phut Industrial Estate in Rayong Province.

During the visit, BIG showcased a zero-carbon fuel cell electric vehicle (FCEV) and presented a life-sized hydrogen refueling station model. These initiatives reflect BIG’s commitment to its mission of “Generating a Cleaner Future” and its journey toward Net Zero. The event also provided a platform for exchanging perspectives on the transition to clean energy and sustainable business practices.
