BIG has partnered with the Faculty of Engineering at Chulalongkorn University to sign a cooperation agreement focused on managing, monitoring, and analyzing ways to reduce carbon dioxide emissions from energy usage and maintenance. This initiative aims to enhance energy efficiency and reduce greenhouse gas emissions using BIG’s Carbon Management Platform. The partnership will advance energy management in educational institutions and explore the application of climate technology beyond the industrial sector.
The signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was attended by Prof. Dr. Supot Teachavorasinskun, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering at Chulalongkorn University, and Mr. Piyabut Charuphen, Managing Director of BIG. This collaboration marks a significant step in developing innovations from climate technology to monitor and reduce carbon dioxide emissions in the educational sector.
Prof. Dr. Supot Teachavorasinskun commented, “The Faculty of Engineering at Chulalongkorn University prioritizes research and innovation in greenhouse gas management. We have committed to reducing greenhouse gases, aiming for net zero emissions by 2050. Partnering with BIG allows us to use their Carbon Management Platform to plan and monitor carbon reduction efforts. This platform will help us manage energy sustainably and reduce carbon emissions across various buildings within our faculty.”
Mr. Piyabut Charuphen added, “BIG is a leader in industrial gas innovation and greenhouse gas reduction technology in Thailand’s climate sector. As a subsidiary of Air Products in the United States, we are dedicated to global sustainability. Our Carbon Management Platform is designed to manage, monitor, and analyze carbon emissions effectively.
