This collaboration will see Copeland utilize low-carbon argon from BIG in its compressor production process, marking it the first time in Thailand that a low-carbon industrial gas has been used in the manufacturing of air conditioning and refrigeration compressors. This represents a significant step towards Thailand’s carbon neutrality.
This collaboration aligns with the shared commitment and vision of both companies to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. This partnership combines the expertise of both parties to drive Thailand towards its carbon neutrality goals by integrating innovative low-carbon argon gas into the compressor manufacturing industry. BIG Ready to Drive Towards a Low-Carbon Society

The low-carbon argon supplied by BIG has been certified by the Thailand Greenhouse Gas Management Organization (Public Organization) or TGO to reduce carbon dioxide emissions by over 50% compared to conventional argon in the manufacturing process. The use of low-carbon argon from BIG will effectively reduce Scope 3 greenhouse gas emissions, which are indirect emissions from the production process. This makes Copeland’s air conditioning compressor products more environmentally friendly and enhances their competitiveness in the global market, especially with regard to carbon tax measures that emphasize sustainability, aligning with Copeland’s goal of sustainable production.”
