BIG, Thailand’s first low‑carbon industrial gas innovation leader, participated in the panel discussion “Driving Thailand with Hydrogen: From Challenges to Opportunities in a Low-Carbon Economy” at the seminar “Hydrogen: Economic Opportunities and Thailand’s Survival,” organized by The Committee on Energy, Senate of Thailand. The event took place on 24 October 2025 at Seminar Room B1‑2, B1 Floor, the Parliament Complex, Bangkok.
Ms. Orla Charoenlap, Chief Finance Officer, and Mr. Anupong Khrueasukawannes, Commercial Advisor, attended the opening ceremony and joined a group photo with Mr. Auttapol Rerkpiboon, Minister of Energy.
The seminar brought together representatives from both the industrial and public sectors to exchange perspectives on hydrogen adoption for the industrial and transportation sectors, as well as market mechanisms and investment frameworks to support the hydrogen economy.
During the panel session, Mr. Pongsak Luarngchindarat, Chief Strategy and Sustainability Officer of BIG, emphasized hydrogen’s role as a future fuel with high potential to significantly reduce carbon emissions and support environmental sustainability—fully aligned with BIG’s strategic direction of “Generating a Cleaner Future.” He also highlighted BIG’s leadership as Thailand’s pioneer in commercial hydrogen solutions, with a firm commitment to developing the necessary infrastructure and technologies to support real-world applications across industries and transportation.
The panel discussion was joined by:
- Mr. Supharerk Yimkobkij, representative of the Federation of Thai Industries (Industrial Sector)
- Mr. Thibodee Harnprasert, representative of the Federation of Thai Industries (Transportation Sector)
- Ms. Worakan Kosolpisitkul, Director of Investment Promotion Division 3, Board of Investment of Thailand
In addition, BIG showcased a life-size hydrogen fueling dispenser, demonstrating a new clean and environmentally friendly energy solution. This exhibit reflects the company’s strong commitment to advancing hydrogen adoption and supporting Thailand’s transition toward a low‑carbon economy. It also underscores the readiness of hydrogen technologies for commercial-scale deployment in Thailand.
