BIG Welcomes the Energy Regulatory Commission to Visit BIG Hydrogen Production

On March 7th, 2023, Mr. Suchat Phasuvanitkun, Deputy Managing Director, Mr. Anupong Kreuasuwanvas, Senior Director of Business Ecosystem, and Mr. Rithidej Wadlom, Operational Excellence Director, together with the management team and staff of BIG, warmly welcomed Lieutenant-General Ampol Chupratum, Vice President of the Energy Regulatory Commission, along with their delegation for a visit to the hydrogen production plant of BIG in Map Ta Phut Industrial Estate, Rayong Province. During the visit, they discussed the relevant legal measures to promote the country’s hydrogen business.

The Energy Regulatory Commission delegation gained comprehensive and detailed knowledge and information about the hydrogen production process at BIG, starting from the production from by-products, compression and packaging, transportation, laboratory testing, and the utmost importance given to safety measures. They also had the opportunity to visit the hydrogen quality inspection room and the hydrogen compression plant at Nong Fab Air Separation Unit (PSA Nong Fab) in Rayong Province. This low-carbon hydrogen production facility helps reduce carbon dioxide emissions from the production process, which contribute to mitigate global warming.
