BIG and PTT Partner to Build Second Air Separation Unit (MAP2), Leveraging LNG Cold Energy to Propel Net Zero Success from MAP1
PTT Public Company Limited, Thailand’s leading energy company, and BIG, Thailand’s Leading Low-Carbon Industrial Gas Company, have signed an agreement to jointly develop a new Air Separation Unit (ASU) project, named MAP2. Located in Map Ta Phut Industrial Estate, Rayong Province, this facility will utilize cold energy from the Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) regasification process in its industrial gas production. This project builds upon the success of the MAP1 project, which has significantly driven industries towards Net Zero goals. Construction of the MAP2 ASU project is set to commence in Q1 2026.
