Mr. Piyabut Charuphen, Managing Director of BIG, participated in a panel discussion on “Shaping the Future: Trade & Investment for the Private Sector after COP29” alongside Ms. Sophie Talarico, Policy Manager for Climate from the International Chamber of Commerce, and Mr. Worrawat Sriyook, Chairman of the Climate Change Policy Subcommittee (TCNN) and Committee on Circular Economy and Environment, Thai Chamber of Commerce and Board of Trade of Thailand.
The discussion focused on the opportunities and challenges following the COP29 outcomes, including the adaptation of the private sector and the use of strategies to transition to greener business models. BIG emphasized the application of technology from its parent company, Air Products, the parent company in the United States, in conjunction with BIG’s Climate Technology, such as hydrogen, which will be another key variable in driving clean energy in Thailand.
This knowledge dissemination event held by the Thailand Carbon Neutral Network (TCNN), in collaboration with the Thailand Greenhouse Gas Management Organization (Public Organization) or TGO, was held under the theme “COP29 Outcomes: Shaping the Future of Trade & Investment for the Private Sector.” It emphasized Thailand’s readiness to access funding for greenhouse gas reduction and the adaptation of leading organizations. The event was held at the Century Park Hotel, Bangkok.
