Mr. Piyabut Charuphen, Managing Director of BIG, and Ms. Nattakorn Chirapornpanich, Human Capital Director, has been awarded the National Innovation Award in the category of Large Innovative Organizations for the year 2024. Presented by the National Innovation Agency (NIA), this prestigious award recognizes BIG’s outstanding contributions and social value through its Climate Technology innovations.
BIG’s innovative solutions, such as hydrogen-based innovations, Carbon Management Platforms, carbon capture, utilization, and storage technologies (CCUS), and low-carbon industrial gases products, are driving various industries towards Thiland’s net-zero goal.
The NIA has evaluated BIG and found it to have exceptional innovation management at the strategic, process, and infrastructure levels. BIG emphasizes fostering an innovative culture driven by diversity and inclusion, believing that diversity leads to creativity, problem-solving, improvement, and the development of new innovations.
The National Innovation Award is Thailand’s most prestigious recognition for innovation, initiated by the NIA to honor individuals and Thai entrepreneurs who have created outstanding and valuable innovative works that contribute to the country’s economic, social, and environmental dimensions. This award aims to stimulate innovation in all sectors of Thai society and foster pride in the innovative capabilities of Thai people and entrepreneurs, positioning Thailand as a nation of innovation.
This year, the National Innovation Awards were presented in five categories: Economy, Society and Environment, Product and Service Design, Innovation Communicator, and Innovative Organization. A total of 416 works were submitted for the awards.
